Paul's Island near the town of Nain in Labrador, Canada is the most famous mine of labradorite. It has also been reported in Norway, Finland and various other locations worldwide, with notable distribution in Madagascar, China, Australia, Slovakia and the USA.

Labradorite’s lithology
Labradorite is on the feldspar mineral (that makes up over 50% of Earth’s crust) and that is most often found in mafic rocks (igneous or volcanic ones).
The exhibiting strong play of iridescent blue, green, red, orange, and yellow colours (known as Schiller effect), makes Labradorite very famous gemstone.
